Bernard Badorrek is a highly experienced and respected neurological orthotist specialising in the orthotic management of complex neurological disorders.

Bernard founded Orthomotion over 15 years ago with the aim of using his comprehensive skills and expertise to provide an exceptional standard of orthotic management to people living with the effects of neurological conditions. Orthomotion is now one of Sydney’s highly regarded orthotic clinical practices.

Bernard is a much sought-after orthotist who has successfully delivered neurological orthotic services to a diverse client base for over 25 years. He has practiced in both private and public facilities, including the Prince of Wales Hospital, Advance Rehab Centre and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and Orthotic Consultants in Melbourne.

Bernard specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of neurological conditions through technically advanced and innovative lower limb orthoses helping adults and children living with neurological mobility issues to live as freely and independently as they can. Bernard’s diverse client group includes people living with the effects of stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, poliomyelitis, cerebral palsy, Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) and motor neuron disease (MND).

Bernard also has a background in student training and mentorship and continues to provide student clinical placement mentoring and supervision to support the development of future orthotists in Australia. Bernard is often requested to deliver presentations and in-service workshops to other medical and health practitioners on ways of optimising neurological mobility impairment outcomes through lower limb orthotics.

Bernard and the Orthomotion team work effectively within the NDIS and other third-party funding environments to deliver orthotic assessments and reports that meet funding criteria for client’s orthotic supports.

Bronte Scheul

Administration Assistant

Bronte is a qualified Exercise Physiologist who brings her strong clinical experience from previous healthcare and fitness roles to Orthomotion. Bronte is also an experienced clinic administrator and passionate about the ways in which she can consistently contribute to Orthomotion’s goal of delivering high quality support to optimise people’s mobility and life outcomes. Bronte is highly empathetic in her interactions with clients and ensures that adopts a client-centred approach to her work. Bronte is committed in delivering streamlined and transparent administrative services to all Orthomotion clients.

Chloe Maynard

Allied Health Assistant

Chloe is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences at Wollongong University with a strong interest in pursuing a career in OT or dietetics.

Chloe has a long standing commitment and interest in healthcare and is keen to further develop her knowledge in the neurological field.

Chloe is a qualified paediatric swimming teacher and is excited to work with Orthomotion’s clients to provide them with a high level of service to support their mobility needs.

Alana Torrillo

Allied Health Assistant

Alana is a physiotherapy student with a strong background in customer service and is eager to begin her journey within the healthcare industry at Orthomotion.

Alana has a special interest in neurological and paediatric physiotherapy and is excited with the opportunity to gain direct experience in these areas through working at Orthomotion.

Alana thoroughly enjoys interacting and building positive relationships with clients and looks forward to assisting the orthotists and clients in their clinical interactions at Orthomotion.

Emily Watson

Corporate Services Advisor

Emily provides expertise, advice and implementation on corporate governance and operational matters, business and strategic planning, and people and culture processes for Orthomotion to support the ongoing success of Orthomotion’s service delivery.

Emily held the previous role of Orthomotion Operations Director following a long and successful career in public sector in policy and governance management for NSW and Federal government departments.

Chris Easton

Accounts Manager

Chris manages and delivers key accounting activities to ensure the effective financial management of our business operations including managing receivables and banking reconciliations, payables and internal HR accounting processes to meet our financial compliance obligations.

Chris holds active memberships for both the Australian Bookkeepers Network and Australian Bookkeepers Association.
